Bestbuy Awards First Scholarship

September 25, 2017 – Bestbuy Distributors Limited is proud to award its first scholarship for students pursuing education for a career in the Canadian automotive industry.

The first $2500 Bestbuy Scholarship has been awarded to Liam O’Connor who will be attending the University of Alberta this fall in hopes of one day starting a career in the automotive industry. Liam’s application was submitted on behalf of Bestbuy member Part Stop Auto & Industrial in Spruce Grove, Alberta.

“At Bestbuy Distributors we believe in encouraging the future leaders of our industry as they begin their post education journeys. Our goal is to support youth and strengthen longevity in the Canadian automotive market,” said Jeff Van de Sande, president of Bestbuy Distributors.

On an ongoing basis, Bestbuy offers up to 2 scholarships, twice per year of $2,500 each to a daughter or son within the Bestbuy network. Candidates from Bestbuy members, their customers and vendors to Bestbuy are all eligible to apply.
