June 19, 2026 – Bestbuy Distributors’ 72nd Annual General Meeting and 2026 Spring Conference brought together shareholders, vendor partners, and key Bestbuy personnel from across Canada for several days of collaboration, learning, and networking.

Established to honour individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the growth, strength, and success of Bestbuy Distributors, this award reflects the leadership, dedication, and commitment that have helped shape our organization.
Doug’s selection as the first recipient is especially fitting. During a period of significant transition and change, he provided steady leadership as Chairman, helping guide the organization through important milestones while safeguarding the value and integrity of the Bestbuy group.
“Doug came in at a really difficult time where we were transitioning through a lot of changes,” said Bestbuy President Nick Brunet. “He stewarded the company, protected its value and, together with the Board, did a tremendous job. It’s a very meaningful award.”
Doug’s contributions, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Bestbuy community have left a lasting impact.
