September 26, 2017 — Bestbuy Distributors Limited annual Buy & Sell attracted shareholders from across Canada, to meet and network with valued suppliers from all over North America, for a repeat seaside conference in spectacular Bermuda, September 17 – 20, 2017. The group was originally in Bermuda September 2015.
The event, which combines supplier meetings with several social events, attracted the majority of the buying group’s shareholders as well as a wide variety of suppliers to the impressive Fairmont Southampton resort; an oceanfront property located on Bermuda’s stunning south shore and situated atop Bermuda’s highest point with surrounding water views.
Two days of successful meetings with suppliers were highlighted with events such as a Welcome Reception on the Great Sound Lawn, the annual SickKids charity golf tournament and SickKids charity day tour, as well as a group dinner party at the Fairmont Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre.
Port Royal Golf Course with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean was host to Bestbuy’s popular annual SickKids golf tournament. Non-golfers participated in the SickKids Day tour which took the group on a guided rum tasting lesson at Gosling’s Rum headquarters, followed by lunch at celebrity chef restaurant ‘Marcus’ at the Hamilton Princess. Both groups and both events raised monies for the world-renowned Family Heart Centre at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children through raffle sales and golf sponsorship. To-date, Bestbuy shareholders and valued suppliers have raised over $775,000.00 for the leading children’s medical facility. This year’s proceeds with Bestbuy’s on-going raffle sale efforts, will be pooled together and a cheque presented to the Hospital for Sick Children at Bestbuy’s upcoming 2018 Annual General Meeting in March in Toronto.
